The PlastikCity Pavilion was first introduced at Interplas in 2017. Following a successful second outing in 2021, the show organisers, Interplas Events Ltd, part of the Rapid News Group, and PlastikCity are delighted to announce it is back for Interplas 2023, from 26 – 28 September at the NEC Birmingham.

Dr Alexandra Coffey was appointed Senior Sustainability Manager of the KraussMaffei Group on January 1, 2023. With the creation of this new position, KraussMaffei is reinforcing its strategy of becoming a completely sustainable company in the medium and long term.

Our next stop was a short drive to Lutterworth in Leicestershire to meet with Paul Williamson of MasterFlow UK.
With over 80 years in the plastics sector, MasterFlow is a leader in Hot Runner technology headquartered in Sweden. Now steadily expanding in the UK, which it intends to make its second home market, MasterFlow is already well established in Europe and Asia.

Remo Heusi has been appointed as the new Vice President Global Service to lead and further develop the strategically important global service business of the NETSTAL Group. As a member of the Executive Board of NETSTAL Maschinen AG, he will report directly to Renzo Davatz, CEO of NETSTAL and member of the Executive Committee of KraussMaffei.

In the grip of the pandemic in 2020, Health and Social Care Northern Ireland (HSCNI) confronted a critical shortage of PPE, especially medical-grade face masks.
To relieve pressure, Northern Ireland’s Health Minister Robin Swann wondered if regional manufacturers could fill the supply gap. Denroy Group, a major plastics injection moulder in Bangor, Northern Ireland, responded to HSCNI’s request.

Leading polymer distributor, Plastribution, has recently worked with Devon-based Casting Support Systems (CSS) Group to manufacture a tote box with a reduced carbon footprint.

ICS Cool Energy installed a hire Industrial Free Heating (i-FH) solution at one of the leading European manufacturers of plastic automotive parts. The goal of the project has been to test the capability of the heat pump technology to replace the plant’s 1.5MW gas boiler heating system.
